Simpson Trip Day 7 (Cont)

After leaving Poeppell Corner, we headed along the French Line until we reached Lindsay Junction at the Knolls Track. The short section of the French Line was fairly easy going as it was dry, but you do cross several salt pans which with some wet weather would make the journey a challenge.

At Linsday Corner there is a small plaque under a tree, to commemorate an early surveyor who passed through many years before.

Headed South from Linday’s Corner to The Approdinna Attora Knolls. The Knolls are only a short drive from the corner.

The knolls are one of the highest points in the area and hold important significance to the local aboriginal people.

Certainly worth a quick stop to admire the view. We continued along the Knolls trail which as we were going across the dune there was less up and down, but this track was very choppy and rough. Several sections were like boulders in the track, so take care. It was a long slow drive that Knolls Track so we were happy to turn off it onto the WAA Line.

It was getting late into the afternoon so we climbed a few dunes before finding a place to camp.
